Hello there!
Happy February and Happy Groundhog Day! Spring fever has officially kicked in and my boyfriend has been so excited for fishing. Me, I'm just thrilled The Walking Dead returns next week! It's the only thing that has kept me through the winter, which we had a pretty mild one until last week. Damn you January! Even feeling under the weather, I was still able to gather up some products that have got me through the month!
1. Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara-- If I had to rank my top 3 drugstore mascara's this one would easily make the list. I'm in love with how much volume AND length you get out of this mascara that won't leave a clumpy mess.
2. MAC Lipstick "Heroine" -- A true "Barney" purple, this girly shade of lipstick is perfect when you want to feel a bit more playful, or for a fun night out. It's dark enough to go with winter tones, yet an even better spring shade!
3. MAC "Soft and Gentle" -- To be honest, I don't get overly excited over highlighters. I think most of them come a dime a dozen, but I've really been picking this one up constantly. With it's rose gold hues, it lays so beautifully and naturally on top of the cheek bone.
4. Centrum Chewables Multivitamin -- At least in the US, some nasty illnesses have been floating around, and nearly everyone close to me has been sick this winter. It's honestly a miracle I'm the only one that's been able to obtain immunity. I credit it to this multivitamin, or maybe I'm just that healthy! Just kidding. I keep this on my vanity so it's staring me right in the face when I'm getting ready in the morning. Do you take any multivitamins?
5. Bio-Oil -- This is the miracle oil of all oils. Uses include reducing stretch marks, scars, uneven skin tones, aging skin, and also hydrates skin. Dry skin is a huge issue for me in the colder months and applying this once a week helps me significantly! This can be used on the body or the face. Google the before and afters if you don't believe me. This stuff works!!
6. e.l.f Cream Eyeliner -- I've always kept away from gel eyeliners because I hadn't found one yet that had a nice smooth formula. In my search to find a good one, I found e.l.f.'s Cream Liner, and let me say.... smoother than a baby's bottom!!!! With a softer, creamier, texture than most gel liners, this one glides on easier than any other one I've tried. Whether you are or are not a fan of gel liners, this one is definitely worth a try.
7. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick "Bachelorette" -- Liquid lipsticks. Holy. Smokes. I'm not sure where these have been my entire life, but I have become obsessed. These literally last me ALL day... even through the gym. It may not be as crisp as it was at 9am, but the color stains! The formula is very drying, but it's fixable with a dab of lip balm.
8. Too Faced Choloate Bar Palette -- Are you tired of hearing me talk about this palette yet? I promise you won't hear about it for a long time. Nevermind. I can't make that kind of commitment. I don't need to say much about this wonderful palette I haven't said before- highly pigmented, beautiful shades, and smells delicious.
9. Bath & Body Vanilla Bean Noel -- Vanilla isn't normally my go-to scent, and in fact I can't stand most of them, but this one. Oh, this one is nothing short of amazing. My boyfriend got me 2 bottles of this for Christmas last year and when he saw me still using it nearly a year later in November wondered why I hadn't gone through the first bottle yet. It certainly wasn't because I hated it, it was because it smelled so good I wanted to cherish it by using it sparingly (I know I'm not the only one who does this). Anyway, I ended up buying 2 more bottles over the holidays this year and still can't get enough... if only I had the candle. hmm...
What beauty products are you loving so far this year?
I am currently obsessed with an eyeshadow palette I use from Guerlain. I don't know the name because it was a gift, but the quality is incredible.
