Neutral Glam | Makeup Tutorial

Between proms and weddings, I have been extremely busy with my free lancing lately.
If you follow me on instagram, you probably saw one of the beautiful prom faces I had the privilege of painting. If not, you can see her HERE. Anyway, I received sooooo many compliments & thought I would share with you how to achieve this flawless look. This look is not only for prom, but it is a beautiful, neutral, glammed up look for any occasion.

To begin, I primed the lid as always (used Urban Decay Shadow Primer), and the face with L'Oreal Youthcode Pore Vanisher.

1. Apply MAC "Gesso" (soft white) to the brow bone using a shadow brush.
2. With a Sigma E40, apply Makeup Geek "Peach Smoothie" (soft orange)  & MAC "Saddle" (dark pinkish nude) to the crease as your transition shade.

3. Add Makeup Geek "Cocoa Bear" (warm brick brown) with Sigma E25 into the crease to darken.
4. Lightly apply a dark slate grey such as MAC "Typographic" (black works too) in the outer V. It will look harsh & messy at first, but just keep blending. I applied with Sigma E45 (Small Tapered Blending) then blended out with E25. The E45 just gives a little more control.
5. With MAC Fix+  take any nude shimmery shade, pigment, or even a powder highlighter and dab (not swip) on the lid, carving out the top of the lid (with tip of the brush) for a clean look. I used Makeup Geek "Shimma Shimma," a metallic champagne.
6. Where "Shimma Shimma" and "Typographic" meet, take "Cocoa Bear" again with Simga E25 to blend out that transition.
7. Then, smoke out lower lash line with "Cocoa Bear" as well. Don't be afraid to get intense with this. The lower lash line is really going to pull the look together. Especially with lashes, you want the eye to look balanced.
8. Add a winged liner (Kat Von D Tattoo Liner) & NARS "Rue Bonaparte" (Nude) Liner on lower water line. I also used Too Faced 3Way Lash Lining tool to tight line.
9. Finally, add mascara (Benefit They're Real!) and lashes (MAC #7 Lashes) << Lashes are a NECESSITY to making this look complete!!
** After my lashes are on, I like to go back in & touch up. Lashes can totally change the whole look so I just make sure it looks the way I want it.
